The first meeting will be Friday, Sept. 1st. Arrive to the cafeteria by 7:45 am. Ms. Yost will be by to pick you up at 8 am. The fee to join the club is $20 and checks should be made payable to GMS and earmarked in the memo section for Interact Club.
We will be meeting every Friday morning at 8 am beginning in Sept. Exact date TBA. If you are interested in joining our club, arrive to the cafeteria by 7:45am and Mrs. Yost will come pick up at 8 am and bring you back to her classroom for the meeting.
Interact Club Meetings will now be on Friday mornings at 8 am due to a scheduling conflict with another club meeting. This is effective April 21st.
Interact Club will be assisting with Start with Hello Week (a Sandy Hook Promise initiative) Feb. 6 - 10th and Random Acts of Kindness Week, Feb 13- 17th. Here are some important dates related to those weeks:

We will have a crocheting lesson next week, 1/24/17.
If you have a crochet needle, size N or 10 mm please bring. We are looking into funding for these so do not go out and buy any yet. PJ Day was a great success and we raised $150 for the youth shelter!!
We have started our next project which is to make mats for the homeless. Club Members that are available are invited to go wrap and organize Christmas gifts at the Youth Shelter on Dec. 22nd. Members should email Ms. Brenda at [email protected] if they are able to attend. The fun starts at 10 am and members should meet at the shelter. The shelter address is 2221 Austell Road (near County Services intersection).
Club Members should wear their PJs as well as continue to encourage their peers to wear PJs on Dec. 21st and donate $1.00 to go toward a Youth Shelter in southern Cobb County.
Posters have been hung and announcements are being made regularly. Club members need to meet next Wed. Dec. 21st in Ms. Yost room at 8 am. We will have a table set up inside the bus port area and car rider drop off to collect the money being donated by students and staff wearing their PJs to support this cause. Club members worked on making postive message cards to give out to students at Griffin that they feel are isolated or in need of a lift or a friend. Each member was challenged to make and give out 10 cards before our next meeting on Dec. 21st.
