Students have received their progress reports. Students who have received progress reports that indicate in the comments that students should "participate in tutoring" are encouraged to come to tutoring in the mornings in my classroom. Students should let me know they plan to attend so I can be sure to look for them. (Also, in case for some reason tutoring is canceled.)
Hours of tutoring: Mon. -Wed., and Fri. 8 am - 8:50 am Students arriving for tutoring should be in the cafeteria by 7:55 am. I pick up students from the cafeteria by 8 am each day I have tutoring. This is also the time for students to make up any missed work, missed tests, or re-tests.

We have been working on career exploration and the students were tasked with a Career Research Project. Students took a survey through Career Cruising which is a website used by the County for students through high school to help them find interesting and appealing career paths.
Based on the results of the survey, students were given a variety of careers to explore and ultimately they had to choose the career that most interested them and prepare a Power Point presentation. We will begin discussing first impressions, body language and interviewing tips after the break. Students will learn about resumes, cover letters and common interview questions all in preparation for their "mock Interview." |
