Students will be learning about the culture of an organization as they learn about the culture of my classroom. We will also begin our unit on mindset this week.
Students took a Learning Style Assessment today to help me understand how they learn best. Using the results from the assessment, they answered the questions in the Interest Survey. Both of these assignments can be found in their Introductions folder in Schoology.
2nd period students were given their syllabus today. 1st Period: Students were asked to turn in their signed Codes of Conduct. I showed them where they could get another copy if they needed one on this blog. I also handed out the class syllabus and let them know it was their second easy 100 and needed to be turned in to the red class assignment box tomorrow, 1/10/18.
Lastly, students took a pre-assessment for the material to be covered in this class so I could get a feel for where they all where as far as business and computer science as a whole. 2nd Period: Students were asked to turn in their signed Codes of Conduct. I showed them where they could get another copy if they needed one on this blog. I will give them all a syllabus tomorrow as I ran out of English copies. Students took a pre-assessment for the material to be covered in this class so I could get a feel for what the recalled from last year's class. Lastly, we played a Kahoot that was an overview of BCS. Students received their Schoology Code of Conduct today which we reviewed in detail. They were told that they needed to get their parents to also read and sign the code of conduct. They should return the signed code of conduct on Monday for their 1st easy 100.
This will be their only paper copy from me of the code of conduct. If they need another copy should they lose this one, they can obtain another copy at the Forms tab of this website. Students got to work on their 1st warm up assignment today in Schoology and they got to explore Schoology as well. Students participated in a meet and greet activity today and we began reviewing rules and routines of my classroom.
