There are 6 modules which are outlined below. All of this can be done online and students were able to work on this from home. They just need to log in to Schoology and click on the Everfi link.

Today we discussed ways to legally get money and why money matters. We also talked about whether or not students could afford to NOT go to college or pursue post secondary education.
Students were shown a budget for living in Georgia as a single, independent adult. They were introduced to gross vs. net pay and taxes. We discussed various taxes such as income, property and sales tax. We also reviewed why taking their education seriously now was so important for their future what their income could look like with college vs. a high diploma only. To conclude our Mindset for Success unit, I showed them an interview with John Legend so that they could remember how important it is to have a growth mindset, to work hard for what you want and that failure leads to success if you persevere.
John Legend: Success Through Effort Students took their Mindset Unit Test today and then were also asked to continue practicing their typing lessons using the seven proper keyboarding techniques that they were previously taught. I evaluated students keyboarding techniques today by observation as a formative assessment worth seven points.
Students watched a video today on the Mindset Behind Success. Then we reviewed for our unit test which will be tomorrow, Thursday.
Students continued to work on any missing work for this unit. There will be a test on this unit on Thursday.
Students worked on their Mindset Guided Notes Part 2 and any missing assignments for the substitute teacher today.
We played Kahoot today to assess students understanding of what they have learned so far about growth vs. fixed mindsets. Students were also assigned Mindset Guided Notes Part 2 today which they will continue to work on independently as I will be out tomorrow.
Students watched and discussed as a class a video on grit today in an effort to understand how effort is more important that talent when it comes to achievement.
Grit by Angela Duckworth Students spent the period completing their mindset guided notes, part 1 and any other missing work. If they were caught up on their work, then they worked on typing lessons or they could start with some financial literacy games.
