We have less than 18 week left of school and there is a lot to cover in this class to get your students prepared for high school and beyond.
I have not given homework in my class before, but now we have to do it. We are currently trying to complete our Business Law Module and students need to be doing this work at home if they have not completed it yet. Additionally, we have been given an excellent opportunity to get your student Microsoft Office Specialist Certified in 2013 Word, Power Point and Excel at no cost to you, but they must complete the training before they graduate in May 2017. If they were to try to pursue this certification on their own through various vendors that provide the training and testing, the cost would be in excess of $1000 for all three exams. I am trying to give the students time to do some of the training in class, but I still have much to cover curriculum wise so time is limited. I encourage your students every day to do as much at home as they can and take advantage of this free opportunity. They should be working on the MS Word 2013 training now. My expectation is that they complete the training and the practice tests by the end of January. They should be ready to test the first week of February.

Welcome back IBT students!
Students are working on a Business Law Unit and should finish it up this coming week. Students are learning about business ethics, business entities, and general business law all of which are critical to have should they choose to pursue entrepreneurship. Students have also been given access to begin working on their training for Microsoft Office Specialist Ceritfication for Microsoft Word. Students have been asked to start working from home on these modules. |
